Bronze Tiles Lewellen bronze tiles are cast by a local foundry. To ensure every piece has the same quality and detail of the original, each tile is finished by Norm Lewellen in his Bellingham, Washington studio. The solid cast bronze tiles are finished, signed and dated by artist Norm Lewellen, and 100% made in the USA. Each image is available in the two patinas, verdigris and antique brown. The tiles have a live finish, and will continue to develop their own unique character with age. If you wish the appearance to remain unchanged, we recommend applying Butchers paste wax or a light oil such as watchmakers oil, test on the back of tile for desired results. 6" tiles weigh 2-3 pounds each, and measure 5 5/8" to 5 3/4" square. 8" tiles weigh 4-5 pounds each, and measure 7 5/8" to 7 3/4" square. Bronze tiles do not have a hanger, as this would interfere with tile installations. Also, the metal is not thick enough to drill and tap for attaching a hanger. The recommended technique for non-installed wall mounting of bronze tiles is the use of a frame or modified plate hanger.
